CarSwype Match helps you discover, save, and compare cars based on your taste, budget, and lifestyle. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide the app: account details from your sign-in provider, such as your user identifier, email, name, and profile image when available; onboarding preferences such as selected vibes and target budget; swipe decisions; saved cars; private notes; and comparison selections.
We may also receive basic technical information such as device, app, request, website analytics, and log data when you use the app, website, or API. Authentication tokens are stored using platform-provided secure storage where available.
How We Use Information
We use your information to sign you in, maintain your account, sync your preferences, power match scoring, show saved cars and notes, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support or account requests.
Service Providers
We use third-party providers for core infrastructure, including authentication, hosting, databases, analytics, and app distribution. These providers process information on our behalf so the app and website can operate securely and reliably.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and preference data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You can sign out or use the app's account deletion flow to delete your CarSwype account data, including your Clerk sign-in identity, preferences, and swipe history. We retain a minimal hashed deletion audit record and may retain records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backups.
Your Choices
You can reset preferences, clear local app data through sign-out or account deletion flows, and control what you save or write in notes. You can also contact us at [email protected] for access, export, deletion, or other privacy requests.
Children
CarSwype Match is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
